Amplifying your voice. We attend regular legislator functions including fundraisers, lunches, breakfasts and meetings to support legislators’ needs. This is how we create long-term relationships that can be called upon when we need one of our bills to pass or when we need to defeat a bill we oppose.

Representing chiropractic needs. The MCA has a team of professional lobbyists who speak to legislators on our behalf. With our legislative committee, they read every proposed piece of legislation including those introduced by groups trying to change the law in an attempt to eliminate our right to practice or bill for services, while also allowing them to do things that would adversely affect our practices.

Billing and Insurance Help Desk. All MCA members have access to the ChiroCongress Billing and Insurance Help Desk to assist you with your billing, insurance, and revenue cycle management questions. Responses will be sent within 48 hours of receipt. 

Compliance Help Desk. Members also have access to the Compliance Help Desk to receive expert answers for all questions related to HIPAA, Medicare, audits, and more.

ListServ discussion opportunities. Post to a member-only email discussion group with your practice, policy, etc. questions, and/or to share new research studies or educational topics.

Be listed online. All members receive a listing on the online MCA Find a Doc feature (membership directory) and on the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress website. These directories are key resources for Maryland residents to find the best in chiropractic care.

Leadership Opportunities. Influence the future of the association and empower the voice of Maryland chiropractors by volunteering on a task force.

Discounts on MCA offerings. Members receive discounted membership pricing on the following offerings from the MCA:

Free legal consultations. Members can call and speak to the MCA lawyer for up to 15 minutes on any legal issue at no cost. He has been representing chiropractors for many years and understands our issues and needs.

Free marketing materials. Gain access to valuable advertising materials and marketing roadmaps through the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress. These resources save you time and make you money.

Semi-annual continuing education meetings. The MCA hosts two (2) continuing education events a year, one in the spring and one in the fall. These events bring knowledgeable speakers to inform you on the latest information in chiropractic.

Bi-monthly newsletter. The MCA will keep members informed about issues that impact their ability to practice, updated membership benefits, and more, through our newsletter and emails.

Member article submissions. Become a contributor to the newsletter to gain increased visibility within the Maryland chiropractic community and influence the educational landscape. Submitting an article is a way for you to share your experience, knowledge, and credentials with your colleagues.

Evidence Center articles. Gain access to a library of research summaries of relevant and current peer-reviewed journal articles, either as abstracts or full-text with an annotated bibliography for each topic.

CA Power Plus Training. Access a free online course to adequately train your new CA on modern business practices and office efficiencies. The course includes information on administrative policies, patient communication, insurance coding, and much more.
