What do you enjoy most or what were your most rewarding experiences involving your work in chiropractic?
Every day in practice is rewarding; whether helping a patient find relief from acute low back pain, guiding someone to understand the value of preventive “maintenance” care, or celebrating the arrival of a healthy newborn after supporting a mother throughout her pregnancy (and then giving baby their first chiropractic adjustment, of course!) In 2024, I had the honor of serving as team doctor for the USA Canoe/Kayak team at the ICF Wildwater World Championships in Spain. This experience allowed me to care for elite athletes, many who had no prior exposure to chiropractic. I had the opportunity to not only treat acute injuries but support rapid recovery between races. I was able to demonstrate the impact chiropractic care can have on both pain management and athletic performance.
Provide a brief description of your practice areas:
My practice is a good mix of an acute care clinic and maintenance care. However, I do strive to educate each patient on the importance of regular chiropractic care in optimizing nervous system function and promoting a higher quality of life.
Outside of chiropractic, tell us something fun or interesting about yourself:
I am a baseball fanatic – both the Orioles and Nationals! My husband and I love going to baseball games. We are trying to visit every MLB stadium. Last year, I realized the importance of having a hobby outside of the office so I took up horseback riding lessons. It’s been a fun challenge – shout out to Domino and Patrick, they have been patient with me!!
