Chiropractic Political Action Committee (C-PAC)
ADVOCACY FOR YOUR PROFESSION
Your profession deserves a voice.
We make sure it has one.
The MCA advocates for every Maryland chiropractor — supporting the legislators who have our back, challenging the ones who don’t, and protecting this profession from anyone who tries to limit it. No matter where you are in your career, this fight belongs to all of us.

The Chiropractic Political Action Committee (C-PAC) represents the interests of Maryland’s chiropractors, chiropractic assistants, and patients — supporting legislators who champion our profession, educating those who haven’t yet, and protecting chiropractic from encroachments by other professions.
C-PAC is non-partisan and its advocacy efforts benefit all Maryland chiropractors regardless of MCA membership status. Your participation is welcome no matter your party preference.
Consider making a one-time contribution at any amount, or a recurring monthly donation to sustain our efforts year-round.
Wherever you are in your career, it matters
If you’re just starting out
Twenty years from now, chiropractic in Maryland could look completely different — and the doctors entering the profession today will directly influence it. The future belongs to those who show up for it.
If you’ve been practicing for years
The MCA has been the unified voice of Maryland chiropractic for nearly a century — defending your scope and protecting your livelihood. That kind of continuity is built by practitioners who continue being a part of it.
Our Wins
The MCA serves as a vital bridge between the Maryland chiropractic community and government bodies, both at the state and federal levels. As advocates for the professions, here are some of the ways have and continue to champion the needs of chiropractors and their patients.

Protecting Chiropractic Adjustments from Encroachment

Influence in Insurance & Policy Decisions
The MCA holds seats on Professional Advisory Committees for insurance companies and third-party administrators, giving chiropractors a direct voice in shaping policy decisions that impact their practices.
Restoring Pediatric Chiropractic Coverage
When CareFirst BC/BS removed pediatric chiropractic manipulation from its medical policy, the MCA took action and got full coverage reinstated.
Expanding Chiropractic Scope: Myofascial Trigger Point Dry Needling
Thanks to MCA advocacy, chiropractors in Maryland can legally perform Myofascial Trigger Point Dry Needling, expanding treatment options for patients.
Chiropractors Recognized as Essential Healthcare Providers

The MCA successfully secured Chiropractic as an Essential Health Benefit under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), ensuring that all ACA health plans must offer chiropractic services.
A National Leader in Chiropractic Assistant (CA) Training & Certification

Launching a CA X-Ray Certification Course
The MCA is introducing a Chiropractic Assistant X-Ray Certification course, allowing CAs to legally perform X-rays inoffice, further enhancing your practice efficiency and patient care.
Get Involved
The C-PAC provides opportunities for legislators to get to know who we are. By attending legislators’ fundraisers we become familiar to the policy makers that can have a great influence on our practices. However, the PAC often has invitations to events that we support but cannot attend due to geography or scheduling conflicts – and you may be able to help!
If you are interested in attending political fundraising events, in being an ambassador for chiropractic, and towards working to protect your scope of practice, please contact us at info@marylandchiro.com. Otherwise, please donate to support our efforts in effecting positive change.
